Family Promise of Genesee County to host 3rd Annual Golf ‘FORE’ Families event.

Local nonprofit working to prevent and end family homelessness joins the annual digital campaign to raise awareness and funds for housing-insecure families.

FLINT, MI, February 27, 2022 – Registration will open in April; right now, you can RSVP to reserve a spot for the 3rd Annual charity golf outing, which benefits Family Promise of Genesee County. This year‘s tournament will be held on September 22nd at the Sugarbush Golf Club, 1 Sugarbush Drive, Davison, MI 48423. all funds raised go toward supporting families battling homelessness.

About Family Promise of Genesee County

Family Promise is a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization addressing the crisis of family homelessness in Genesee County. In 2012 a group of individuals came together wanting to help children and families in a housing crisis. Since then, FPGC has provided more than 16,763 nights of safe sleep, 46,572 meals, and served more than 2,055 children in 795 families. 92% of our families who graduated still live in stable homes. Through a comprehensive set of solutions involving prevention, shelter, and stabilization, Family Promise empowers families experiencing or who are at risk of homelessness to reclaim and maintain their independence. The Saturday Brunch

general information

what is the Saturday Brunch?

A gathering designed to expand FPGC supporters demonstrates the impact Family Promise has in Genesee County and promotes local philanthropy. Family Promise is fortunate to have so many community partners who assist in carrying out our mission of Ending Homelessness…one family at a time, by providing hospitality, food, shelter, and case management.

We will have families from each of our programs who will share their experiences and how Family Promise helped them. One family from each program will speak on - emergency shelter (in our new Mobile Housing Crisis Unit), Shelter Diversion, Shelter Prevention, or Stabilization.

Concerned community-minded individuals and anyone interested in learning more about how we utilize existing community resources and engage other organizations working toward the same goals, all with an annual budget of $226,000, one full-time and two part-time staff members.

There is a suggested minimum contribution of $75 per guest.

Sealed Proposals will be received by the Family Promise of Genesee County, Genesee County, Michigan, for Mobile Housing Crisis Center, located at 2111 Flushing Road, Flint, MI 48504. Proposals will be received at info@familypromiseofgc.org, or P.O. Box 4519 Flint, MI 48504, until October 21, 2022, 5:00 pm. Late submissions will not be considered. All bids received will be opened and publicly read aloud.

Proposals are solicited on the basis of a lump sum price for all labor and material required to complete the project as designed and specified in the contract.

Family Promise of Genesee County is looking to purchase a new or used travel trailer/toy hauler for use as a mobile housing crisis center. The trailer will be brought to Flint, Michigan, by the successful bidder. The specifications and the closeness match will greatly affect our entire Mobile Shelter Program objectives. Final determination for the award of this contract belongs to FPGC.
